After talking to Dawn, a small quest must be completed before Uxie can be fought. First, the player must sleep in the bed in Monstro Town, which initiates the quest. Then, the player must interact with Uxie in the secret area of the Forest Maze. Once this is done, Uxie can be fought and captured with a Pokeball by going in the gap in the rocks in the second area of Booster Pass.
